Looking at a flat in Saroornagar, and Sagarika High School is the nearest. What is class 2 like there?

We're looking at a flat on the Saroornagar side. Nothing decided yet. Sagarika High School is the closest school to it, so I'm trying to understand what a normal day there looks like. Our son is finishing grade 1 at an IB school now, so CBSE would be new for him. For current parents: what time does class 2 finish, and how much homework comes home on a weekday?

Not Sagarika, but IB to CBSE in class 2 will be a jump. Our daughter has been CBSE from the start and even then her class 2 had copywriting and a maths page every day. Ask them how many notebooks the class 2 kids carry, that tells you a lot 🙂

If you visit, ask to see the last hour of a class 2 day rather than the first. How tired the children are at the end, and what goes into their bags, tells you more than the morning assembly does.

Adding to the notebook point: in our daughter's class 2 the daily homework was light, but the weekly tests were what took up evenings. Ask about tests separately, people tend to answer only about homework.

We're in Bandlaguda Jagir, not far from there. A neighbour's grandson goes to Sagarika and he seems happy enough, but that's the extent of what I know. Hope the flat works out.

One more thing to ask: whether they have a separate IIT or olympiad foundation section from class 6. Around Bachupally every school has started one, and it decides what the middle years look like more than anything in class 2.
