younger one is 4 and his preschool stops at ukg, so we've started looking at class 1 options for june 2027. lal bahadur high school in kachiguda is on my way to the office on the days i go in. is the primary section kept separate from the senior kids? and how does pickup work for someone who isn't a parent. most mornings i'm on early calls, so drops and pickups would mostly be my caregiver

not about this school specifically. when you visit, ask to stand near the primary block at dismissal time. you learn more in those 15 minutes than in the office. also ask how they hand children over to someone who isn't a parent, every school does it differently

used to drive that stretch to work. kachiguda station side in the mornings = slow. plan for it

Is the plan for the caregiver to do every drop, or would you drop on office days and she covers the rest? We tried a split like that and the pattern changing week to week unsettled our son more than the commute did.

A year ahead is a good time to start looking. Something worth asking any school about class 1 joiners from a separate preschool is how they settle children in the first month, whether there's a shorter day at first. Ours had a half-day first week and it made a real difference ❤

We're Vanasthalipuram side and I keep turning over the same thing for our daughter, choosing by office route. What happens the year your office or schedule changes? Haven't solved it for ourselves yet

My grandson's parents chose by office route, and the next year one of their offices moved. Now there are two cross-city drives a week. If I were choosing again I would weigh home first and office second.
