The girls have decided that the banana chips a relative brought on her last visit are the only acceptable snack, and the packet ran out on Tuesday. I'd also like proper puttu podi rather than whatever the supermarket has. Is there a Kerala store anywhere around Alwal, Bolarum or Secunderabad that keeps fresh stock, or do people order from somewhere?
In our area the best source turned out to be a family who takes a weekly order from Kerala, which I found through a Malayali neighbours' group. Shops come and go, but those groups always seem to know. Is there a Malayali group in your colony?
There is, and I've never once opened it. Will ask tonight. The girls will be thrilled if it turns out to be a weekly thing. Less sure about the monthly snack bill.
