She started swimming at school this term. I bought her proper moulded plugs, then silicone ones, then the cheap ones in packs of three, on the theory that cost was not the problem. Six pairs. One was found in the washing machine. One is apparently 'with a friend'. The rest have simply left. She now swims without them and says her ears are fine, which, professionally speaking, is mostly true.
The one 'with a friend' is my favourite 😂 My 8 year old's swim cap went the same way. We spotted it a month later on the friend's younger brother.
a swim cap is at least big enough to spot on someone else's head. ear plugs go into a child's pocket and never come out
Our 10 year old loses one of every pair of everything, so we've started buying hair clips and socks all in one colour so the survivors can be matched up. Might work for ear plugs too ❤ Good to have your professional verdict, though. I'll stop worrying about hers.
