How much homework comes home in class 1 at Kakatiya Techno School, Moula Ali?

Our younger son starts class 1 in June and we're still weighing state board options. Kakatiya Techno in Moula Ali came up through a colleague, and the prospectus is very polished. The prospectus doesn't show the ordinary weekday evening: how many subjects send written work home, roughly how long it takes a child that age, and whether class 1 has weekly tests. If you have a child in class 1 or 2 there, or you asked these things on a visit, I'd value the plain version.

Can't comment on this school. Speaking as a teacher, I'd add one question to your list: what happens when homework isn't done. That tells you more about the evenings than the amount does. In some schools it's a line in the diary, in others the child loses break time.

Good question. Our daughter is in class 1 at another school, and the 'not done' rule turned out to matter more than the amount. Ten minutes of work is fine. Ten minutes of work plus the fear of missing break is not.

Noted. I hadn't thought to ask about consequences at all. I'll add it, along with how the diary is checked, since my partner handles our mornings and I handle the evenings.

not this school but i teach primary and the honest answer is it depends on the teacher more than the school. on the visit ask if you can look through a class 1 notebook from the year that just ended and count the pages done at home

If your hours are anything like mine, hospital and on call: whatever the load, check whether homework is sent on an app or only written in the diary. With our hours, the app was the only way I knew what was due before 9 pm.
