How heavy is the foundation coaching for class 9 at Sri Chaitanya, Cherlapalli?

We may move to the ECIL side next year, and the Sri Chaitanya campus at Sai Nagar, Cherlapalli is one of the schools close to where we're looking. My son is in class 8 on the state board now and would join class 9. He's a steady student who likes his evenings for cricket and drawing, and he has told me very clearly that he doesn't want an 'IIT schedule' in class 9. I don't know how much foundation work at this campus is built into the school day, how much is optional, and whether there are Saturday tests. If anyone has a child there, or has visited recently, I'd be grateful for a sense of the week.

No experience of this campus. A question worth asking at any school that runs foundation programmes: is it part of the fee and timetable for everyone, or a separate batch you opt into? That one answer tells you most of what you need about the weekly load.

ask them to show you the actual class 9 weekly timetable, not the brochure. if saturday says 'assessment', you have your answer

I'm in Nagole, not far from there, but I don't know their timetable. As a maths teacher: a state board class 9 joiner manages the syllabus fine. What tires children out is test frequency. Ask how many tests a month, and which ones count.

Years ago our daughter went through a school with weekly tests in 9 and 10. What helped her was knowing which tests counted and which were only practice, so she didn't treat every Saturday like a board exam. If he goes there, sit with him and sort that out early.
