His science task has taken over our kitchen. There are beans in every cup

The class worksheet said 'grow a seed and observe'. He decided one seed wasn't scientific enough. We now have eleven cups of rajma on the window ledge, each with a name, and a chart he updates at breakfast. My coffee mug is 'Bean 7'. I've been asked not to move it ♥

    Wait till they start to smell. Ours did moong in wet cotton and the whole flat knew by day four.

    You'll have a rajma harvest by June. Our son did this with methi and we cooked it, and everyone had to say it was the best methi they'd ever eaten.

      Bean 7 has sprouted, and he's already planning a rajma dinner. I'll be quietly buying a packet for the real one ♥
