Little one is 2 and we feed him most meals. For the last two weeks my daughter, who is 8 and has eaten on her own for years, sits next to him at dinner and opens her mouth too. It's half a joke and half not. Do I just do it or say no?
My son also did this when my sister's baby came to stay with us. He is 8. I fed him two or three times, then he got bored and went back to his own plate. I think they want to see you will do it.
Does she ask at every meal or only at dinner? Our daughter does a version of this mostly in the evening, after a long day. At breakfast she would be insulted if I tried.
Ours is 5 and it's almost always dinner. We said yes on the tired days and no on the others, and I'm still not sure the inconsistency helped. It did eventually fade on its own.
