College started this week. Now I'm the one texting 'what time will you be back'
Eighteen years of her asking me that. First week of college and the tables have turned. Her reply: 'later'. Just 'later'. Ha.

Do you ask her for an actual time, or only for a message when she leaves? I'm asking well in advance, my daughter is still a baby, but I'm curious what works.
my 10 yr old already answers 'somewhere' when asked where he's going in the building. i'd assumed it gets better
This made me laugh and then a little sad. Mine is a toddler and already crawls off in the other direction when I call him ❤️
Reading this as a father-to-be. Noting 'later' as the answer we're up against.
Give it a few years. Mine is 15 and already at 'nearby'. 'Later' is quite detailed by comparison.
Keep going
