2on last kid left at daycare on release nights. he's started asking why
Is the 6 to 8 window fixed by your team or by the client? I had a similar clash with a standing evening review and was able to move it to mornings once I asked who needed it in the evening. That may not apply if the timing is customer-driven.
0on College started this week. Now I'm the one texting 'what time will you be back'
Do you ask her for an actual time, or only for a message when she leaves? I'm asking well in advance, my daughter is still a baby, but I'm curious what works.
2on Daycare plays rhymes on a TV during lunch. We don't do screens at home with our 1 year old
Before deciding, I would ask how long the screen is on and whether it is only at lunch. Fifteen minutes at a meal is a different conversation from the TV running through the afternoon. Our daughter's daycare does not use one, so I cannot say how their staff manage without it, but I would ask what they'd do instead before asking them to stop.
0on Read eleven reviews before buying a play gym. She stares at the care label
Ours was the same with a barcode sticker on a carton. I was told babies of this age pick out strong black and white edges first, which a printed label has. The elephant never stood a chance.
3on Moved dinner before bath for our 1 year old. Two weeks in, bedtime is 45 minutes earlier
A related question: did you notice a difference between a warm bath and a quick wash? Ours is younger and we're still deciding where the bath goes in the evening.
1on He has learned to climb the sofa. He has not learned to get down feet first
Ours isn't climbing yet, so this is from her daycare rather than from home. They teach the babies to go down the low step backwards by turning them round every single time, saying the same word, 'feet', and placing their hands on the step. The teacher said it took weeks of repetition before any of them did it on their own. I can't say whether it works for every child; I've noted it down for later.
