Class 4 notebooks come back with ticks and nothing else. Is that the usual practice now?

My daughter's class 4 notebooks are checked regularly, which I appreciate, but the only marks are ticks. A wrong answer simply doesn't get one. No correction, no comment, nothing to show what went wrong, and she doesn't look closely enough to notice which ones were missed. I'd like to understand whether this is a common approach, perhaps with corrections done orally in class, or whether it's time pressure with a full class of notebooks. I would rather know that before raising it with the teacher, so I ask the right question.

My daughter is in class 4 as well, and her teacher does the same in some subjects. When I asked at the PTM, she said wrong answers are discussed on the board the next day and the children are supposed to correct their own books. Most don't. So I'd ask whether there's a correction step the children are meant to do, before assuming there isn't one.

Same with both my boys back then. The 'correct your own book' step existed on paper. Nobody checked whether it happened, so it didn't 🙂 Worth asking the teacher if she could look at it once a week, even.
