Bedtime story duty has passed to our 11 year old, and every episode ends on a cliffhanger

It started as a favour during a week when I had evening supervision. Now it's a nightly serial about a cat who runs a bus company, and every episode ends with the bus about to go off a bridge or the cat losing the keys. The 3 year old refuses to sleep until she knows what happens. The big one refuses to tell her. I'm the one sitting outside the door at 9.45 negotiating a peace treaty ❤️
