admissions season at my school. every parent tour ends with 'and where do your boys study?'

sunny_notebook_9341

answer: the cbse school ten minutes from home. then a long pause. distance, fees, and the building gang all go there. none of it sounds great in the middle of a tour. ha. others who work in schools, what do you say

Simple answer is best. Distance. Parents understand distance, they've all done the school run. My son's maths teacher sent her own children to a school near her house and none of us thought less of her for it.

Keeping it simple, yes. But as a parent on those tours I'd want to hear the real reason. When we were looking for my daughter's school, one teacher told us her own kids were at a smaller place near home. I trusted everything else she said after that.

      Replying to @mango_notebook_6503

tried the honest version on today's tour. 'ten minutes from home and their friends from the building go there.' one father nodded very hard. turns out his kids are at the school next to his office
