46 in class 4, and after a week his classwork notebook has one tick in it

Our younger son's class 4 has 46 children this year, up from 38 last year, with one class teacher and an assistant 'for the first month'. After the first week, his classwork notebook has a tick on page one and nothing after that. Last year every page came back corrected. I don't blame the teacher; 46 notebooks a day is a lot. I'm trying to work out how schools with classes this size handle corrections, and whether to raise it now or watch how the first month goes.

teacher here, different school. 46 is a lot for class 4, not unheard of though. at that size a lot of us check in rotation, a few rows a day. what matters more is whether the assistant stays past the first month. ask about that one in writing

Same thing happened at my son's school here in Yelahanka a couple of years back. Parents went together to the class teacher, politely, after two weeks, and asked how corrections would work. She started a fixed notebook day for each row. Only works if it's many parents and not one, kada 🙂

ours has 42 in class 4 and it's been like that since class 1. the teacher manages, but the notebooks come back unchecked half the time 🤷

Agree that it has to come from several parents. At our elder one's school we also offered something, parent volunteers for reading time, so it didn't sound only like a complaint. The class stayed big, but the conversation went much better ♥

That's the part I'm worried about. Our class teacher is good, but 46 notebooks a day is a different job altogether. Did your school ever explain how they manage corrections?
