Arre, a torch and a book? I'd take that any day. Mine tries the same trick with the tablet under the razai and that's a much bigger fight 🙂 Maybe ask her what she's reading. Half the time with my son it's one series he can't put down, and it passes once the series is done.

At that age they just want to run around with other kids. In our building a gang of little ones plays football under the parking roof when it pours, all the mummies and papas standing around with chai. Free, and nobody cancels 😊

Email works. When we were choosing for my son, one school sent the whole week's timetable the same evening and another sent the brochure PDF again. Give them a week.

Asked two of them at pickup yesterday 😊 One aunty does homework, reading and a park hour, so basically childcare. The other one does worksheets 'for olympiad'. In grade 2. So you were right about one of them.

Sunday works, we land Saturday night. Will ask the sellers. And yes, the heat. He's already negotiating ice cream in exchange 🙂
2on Has anyone done a summer with no classes or camps at all for an 8 year old?
Half yes from me. My son's school here ends late, so we only have a few weeks, and we keep them empty except for one weekly thing he chooses. This year it's pottery. The empty days are when he does his best Lego. The TV fights happen on the days after a busy weekend, not on the quiet ones.
