The new activity is being carried by friendship, not interest

Our daughter signed up when a friend did. Now the friend has stopped attending and our daughter is unsure whether she wants to continue. The class itself is fine. I want to acknowledge the social reason without telling her she was silly to join in the first place.

    I would ask whether she enjoys the activity when she is actually there.

      That might separate the class from the friend’s absence.
