The activity she begged for is no longer fun

My daughter loved the idea of a new class and was enthusiastic for the first few weeks. Now she wants to stop, and I keep thinking of the fee we already paid. I do not want the sunk cost to become a parenting principle. How have you decided whether to finish a short batch or simply let it go?

We asked what had changed before mentioning the money. It turned out the travel was the issue.

I started with the fee, which probably closed the conversation.

Sometimes finishing the paid term is reasonable, but I would not force another term automatically.
