This made my morning. My 13 year old used to tell people I 'talk on the phone and get paid', which is close enough to what an adviser does.

Ask each university for the list of where last year's batch went, with job titles, and how many students were in that batch. '100% placement' often means 100% of the students who registered for placement, which can be a much smaller number. I'd also ask to see an ordinary second-year student's work, not the showcase projects on the website. The coursework tells you more than the brochure.
