First dental visit for a little girl this morning. She sat on her mother's lap, opened wide for the mirror like a pro, then held out her hand for it. I gave her a spare. She looked into my mouth for a long time and told her mother 'all clean'. Best review I've had all year.
Five stars, verified patient
At about that age our son did this with the barber's comb. Combed the barber's hair for a full minute, and the barber sat still for it.
Toddlers in my clinic read the eye chart back to me. Usually the wrong line, very confidently.
Next visit she'll want to bill her mother.
Did she check the back teeth too, or just the front? My son's 'check-ups' at that age were one look and a verdict.
So sweet. My son at five years cried so much in the dentist chair, the doctor did nothing and sent us home. Next time I will tell him about this girl.
Ours was the same at five. What helped was a dentist who let him press the chair buttons first. By the third visit he was asking to go up and down.
In my OPD it's the stethoscope. One boy listened to my chest and told me I was 'a bit loud'.
