years of teaching, and only now watching how parents say goodbye at the gate

cobalt_violin_3620

we're expecting. still early, so not many people know yet. i've been on morning gate duty at school for years without really looking. this week i noticed i was watching the parents instead of the kids. the dad who crouches down every single time. the mother who says bye from the car and the kid who doesn't look back. the grandfather who waits outside till the bell even after the kid's gone in. not sure what i'm going to be. just noticed myself noticing.

This made me smile. I did the same with prams in every mall and every baby in a queue ❤ It doesn't stop once the baby is here, you just start noticing different things. You'll find your own way of saying bye.

      Replying to @cobalt_violin_3620

Before my daughter was born I measured every small frock in the market, I do tailoring so I couldn't stop myself. She outgrew all of them in one month. Opinions are free, enjoy.
