regional client meetings twice a month and my formal trousers have started fighting me. not showing really, not telling clients yet either. the maternity section in the mall is all floral tops with bows. what did you wear to work in the in-between stage. kurtas and blazers? anywhere in hyderabad that sells formal stuff with some give in it
two people on my team went through this stage last year, long kurtas with straight pants and a blazer right through, and no client blinked. one swore by trousers with a wide stretchy waist panel, said it was the only maternity buy she wore every week
following this. i'm in scrubs most days so only my weekend jeans have noticed, ha. the tailor near my place let out two kurtas for very little though, worth trying before buying new
Years ago, with my daughter, I had two pairs of my usual trousers altered with an elastic back and wore them almost to the end. Dresses with a jacket over them were my client-call outfit. Nobody guessed till I told them :)
client-site days i lived in shift dresses + a blazer. no waistband, no problem. bought three online a size up in one go and kept wearing them for a year after
