Which board does Ameri Kids International in SR Nagar follow, and where do children go after class 7?

amber_camera_6736

It came up when I asked around about smaller schools on the SR Nagar and Begumpet side. I couldn't find the board mentioned anywhere, and the name doesn't tell me much. It also stops at class 7, so I'd want to know what families there usually do from class 8. My son is in primary at an ICSE school and we aren't moving him this year. I'm only collecting options for later.

Ask them straight out which board's report the class 7 children leave with, and ask for the affiliation number. 'International' in a school's name can mean Cambridge, or IB, or the school's own programme with a nice logo. I don't know this school at all, so no comment on them. That's a one-line answer for any school 🙂

This is exactly what happened to us with a preschool last year. 'International curriculum' turned out to mean their own worksheets. Nothing wrong with that for KG, but we'd assumed IB and never asked. One plain question would have saved a lot of guessing ❤

      Replying to @gentle_pebble_4457

I'd worry about the class 7 exit more than the board. Moving into a bigger school's ICSE section at class 8 is doable, but from what we saw when friends did it, seats at that level are fewer than you'd expect, and the applying happens right in the year you were hoping would be calm.

One more thing to ask: which second language they teach and whether it continues to class 7. With an exit at 7, children sometimes arrive at their next school with a language that school doesn't offer. We see this every year with joiners where I teach, and it's harder to fix at 12 than people expect.
