What do you ask a nursery about sick children and small injuries? We're both doctors and still unsure

We're starting to shortlist schools for our son's nursery next year. With both of us in clinic most days, the question that worries me isn't the curriculum. It's what happens at 11 am when he has a temperature or falls on the steps. What I don't know is what's realistic to expect from a school: a nurse on campus, someone who calls within ten minutes, a quiet room where he waits till one of us arrives? What did you ask, and which answers turned out to matter?

We asked three things: who calls us and how quickly, where the child waits until someone comes, and whether the person on duty has first-aid training or is just whoever is free. The third question got the vaguest answers everywhere. Our daughter's school does have a nurse, but she covers every class, so in practice the class teacher makes the first call.
