We're redoing our kitchen next month. With an 8 month old, do we move out or stay?

I run an interiors business, so I've watched plenty of families live through a kitchen renovation. I've never done it with a baby who crawls straight towards anything that makes noise. It's about three weeks of work: demolition for a couple of days, then carpentry, then a lot of dust and adhesive smell. My partner's family have offered to have us stay with them, but that means a longer daycare drop and two working parents in someone else's house. Staying means we'd keep him out of the kitchen side completely, which in our flat is half the place. Did anyone stay through a renovation with a baby this age, and do you regret it?
