Video interview from home, door closed. My 2 year old walked in holding his potty above his head

I was interviewing a candidate for my team yesterday. Door closed, headset on, very professional. Twenty minutes in, the door opens and my son walks in holding his new potty above his head like a trophy, announcing it to the room. The candidate said 'congratulations' with a completely straight face. I have no memory of the rest of the interview.

The important question: did the candidate get through? Anyone who can say 'congratulations' with a straight face in that situation has the temperament for most teams.

Shortlisted for the next round, on merit, I should add. Though I did mention the composure in my notes.

Mine is 12 now and still walks into calls, just with better timing. She waited for my quarterly review last month to ask, loudly, whether I'd finished the mango pickle.

Was the door not locked? Asking because I work from home too, and a lock is the only thing that has ever worked in our house.

      Replying to @amber_quilt_8743

It was locked on every other call. That day I forgot. He has also learned to knock, and I open the door out of reflex, so the lock is only half the solution.
