Vet near Gopanpally who sees hamsters? We're minding the neighbours' for May

banyan_compass_3381

Neighbours are away for most of May. Daughter volunteered us to keep their hamster. They left a care sheet and a cage. No vet details, and they're hard to reach. It's eating and running at night, so nothing is wrong. I just want a name before something is. Most clinics I called around Gopanpally and Nallagandla only do dogs and cats. Has anyone taken a hamster or a rabbit to someone on this side?

Ayyo, the volunteering part sounds very familiar 🙂 We don't have pets, but my brother-in-law kept rabbits and he used to go to a clinic in Miyapur that saw small animals. Not near you, and I don't remember the name, sorry. Maybe message the neighbours once, they must have taken it somewhere.

My girls had two hamsters when they were small. Vet visits were rare, it was more about keeping the cage out of the sun and changing the water twice a day. Our vet was a general one who said he'd see 'anything that fits on the table' 😄 He has moved since, otherwise I'd tell you.

When you call, ask whether the doctor has treated a hamster before, rather than whether the clinic 'sees small animals'. Several clinics say yes to the second and mean puppies. I learnt this when a friend's guinea pig fell ill.
