Two children joining together at The Future Kid's School? Weighing it if we rent on that side

teal_sketch_3121

We're in Secunderabad, but we're thinking of renting on the Financial District side next year, and The Future Kid's School keeps coming up. My two would be joining class 7 and class 6 together, coming from CBSE. A couple of things I'd love to hear about from anyone who has looked at it: do they assess children before admission at those classes, and how did your child find the move to ICSE language papers? I teach senior students myself, so I know the shift is doable. I'm just trying to picture what the first year would feel like for them.

we're looking at that side for our daughter's class 1 next year, so this is useful. the daily drive from himayatnagar is what keeps stopping us, and renting there has come up for us too

No experience of this particular school, only of ICSE in general. In my son's class, the children who came from CBSE in class 5 or 6 found grammar and literature the hardest. Science and maths content was close to what they had done before. If the school shares a sample paper, it gives a fair picture of the gap.

Agree about the language papers. When my nephew came to stay with me he had to change schools, and the subjects were fine but English literature took him most of a term. A few sessions with a tutor near Puppalaguda helped him catch up.
