too early to be asking about nannies? the baby is months away

we're early on, nothing to see yet. we both work full time and we've always known there would be paid help at some point. so i've started a spreadsheet: nanny, daycare, a mix of both, rough costs, what friends did. my partner thinks i've started too early, and probably i have. but i keep hearing that the good ones are booked before you even start looking. is that true or just something people say
