Toddler gym class twice a week. Anything a park and a patient grandparent can't give her?

There's a toddler gym class near us, two mornings a week, an adult stays in. My parents have her on Tuesdays and Thursdays and are keen to take her. She already climbs everything at home: the sofa, the window grill, me. Is there anything in these classes you can't get from a park and a patient grandparent? Trying not to sign up for something just because it exists 🙂

We did a similar class with our younger son for one term. For us the main benefit was a fixed outing at a fixed time, which mattered more than the equipment. I would ask what the instructor does during the session and what the accompanying adult does. If the answer is 'the adult supervises', you are paying for the room. Do they offer a trial?

Free trial, yes. Called them just now and there's a slot at 5 today, so we'll see for ourselves.

Back from the trial. The instructor led it for about ten minutes, then it was mostly the room, like you said. She spent the whole time on the foam steps and cried when we left. My parents are already planning their Tuesdays around it. I think I've lost this one 😄
