Third 'classwork incomplete' note in his diary this week. He says he finished everything

lagoon_compass_2322

Class 3, and three days running the diary has the same line in red. When I ask, he says he finished and the teacher just didn't check. His notebook does have the work, though some of it looks squeezed in at the bottom of the page in a hurry. I'm out before he wakes on theatre days, so evenings are when I see any of this, and I don't want every evening to start with the diary. Not sure whether I'm supposed to write back to the teacher or leave it between the two of them

could be he's finishing it later, at home or in the next period, from a friend's notebook. ask him which day's work exactly and look at the dates on the page. mine used to 'finish' things that way 🙂

A short note asking the teacher what 'incomplete' means for her isn't making a fuss. With my son it turned out he was copying slowly from the board and missing the last few questions, nothing to do with effort. Once we knew, he was moved nearer the front and it mostly stopped. Hope it turns out to be something that simple for you too ❤️
