Thinking of a flat near Meerpet. How do nursery admissions work at Sister Nivedita High School?

fern_pigeon_5602

My partner's parents live in Meerpet and we've started looking at flats nearby, partly so they can help more as our daughter grows. She isn't one yet and is in daycare, so nursery is still two years or so away. Even so, I'd like to understand how admissions work at the schools there before we commit to an area. Sister Nivedita High School is close to the flats we've seen; it's CBSE, nursery to 12. I'm not asking for a verdict on the school. I'd only like to know the process from parents who've been through it: when applications open, whether there's an interaction for the child, and roughly how far ahead people apply.

I haven't been through their process, so I can't help with that part. From the Nagole side, though, I'd test the daily route before the school question. Meerpet to most offices means getting through LB Nagar at peak hour. If either of you works on the west side, try that drive at 8.30 on a weekday first.

+1 on the route. we did the same sums for living near my in-laws, and for now daycare near the grandparents mattered way more than a school two years away. school can come later

Hadn't thought about the drive properly. My office days move with client workshops, several of them in Gachibowli, so the drive matters more than I'd allowed for. We'll do a trial run next week before we see any more flats.

      Replying to @fern_pigeon_5602

Our preschool admission was last year, though not at this school. The process itself was the easy part: a form, documents, a short interaction with our daughter. The waiting afterwards was harder. One thing I'd ask any school directly is whether there's a sibling or locality preference, because that changes how early you need to be in line.
