The post-delivery laddus were meant for my partner. Three months on, I'm the one finishing them

My mother-in-law sent a big dabba of methi and dry fruit laddus for my partner. Partner had about four and declared them 'very medicinal'. They sit on the counter next to the bottle warmer. Every 2 am feed, one more. I have eaten most of a dabba. Nobody warned me about this side of night feeds.

Methi ones are an acquired taste. The dry fruit ones are not medicinal, they are just good. Has she sent more?

In our house the second batch came because I had finished the first. My mother-in-law has never let me forget it, and that was sixteen years ago.

A second dabba arrived yesterday. Labelled with my partner's name this time.
