Fruit-only snack break and my 7 year old is hungry by 11

coral_sandal_7416

School changed the short break to fruit only from this term. Breakfast is at 7, lunch is at 1. She eats her banana at 10 and is starving by 11. The note says it's healthier. Healthier than what? Nobody has said. Has anyone asked their school whether something like boiled chana or an egg counts, or is it strictly fruit?

ours is fruit only too, she finishes the apple in two minutes and comes home starving. i started a bigger breakfast, some days it works, some days she won't eat at 7

My daughter's school also had fruit time in the small classes. We sent sprouts mixed with fruit pieces and the teacher allowed it. Now she is in Inter and eats anything, no rules there.

      Replying to @maroon_saucer_85

Sprouts mixed in is a good idea. I'll ask whether it counts. The rule sheet doesn't say.
