Switch to a paediatrician ten minutes away before the 6-week vaccines, or stay with the hospital one?

Our daughter is four weeks old. She was born at a hospital about 40 minutes from us in normal traffic, and the paediatrician there has been good. The 6-week vaccines are coming up and the plan was to go back to him. But I've done that drive for check-ups this month and I can see what it'll be like at 5.30 pm once I'm back at work. There's a clinic in Kokapet ten minutes away that other parents in our building use. Did you switch early, or stay with the doctor who knows the birth history? I'm on paternity leave till mid-June, so now is when I can sort it out.

We changed doctor when my daughter was 2 months only, because of my shift timings at the metro. The new doctor asked for the hospital discharge papers and the vaccine card, that's all. No problem. When the child has fever at night, near is better.

We stayed with the hospital paediatrician for the first year and regretted it by month four. Every routine visit took half a day. If the closer clinic is well thought of by people you trust, ask the hospital for a copy of the full notes and move. You can always go back for anything specific.
