Starting the daycare search for our 6 month old near Sanathnagar. How did you even begin?

Back at work in a couple of months. I've got three names from colleagues and one from the building group, and no idea how to compare them beyond distance. Did you visit first or call first? What did you look at in the first five minutes that told you yes or no? Anyone with a baby in daycare around Sanathnagar, Erragadda or Ameerpet, I'd be glad to hear what you went with.
