Standard or Basic maths in class 10, if she's sure about humanities after?

The school wants the class 10 maths choice confirmed soon. My daughter wants Basic. She's set on humanities for 11th and says Standard is hours of stress every week for nothing. I teach the subject, so I'm not the neutral party at home. My only worry is that she changes her mind in a year and finds a door closed. If your child took Basic, did it limit anything later?
