SmartgenKids in Mayuri Nagar doesn't seem to list a board. What does that mean from nursery to class 2?

Our daughter is one, so this is curiosity more than planning. A friend in Miyapur has started sending me photos of school banners, which I'm told is what happens once you have a one year old. SmartgenKids in Mayuri Nagar was one of them. It runs nursery to class 2, and I couldn't find a board mentioned anywhere. Is that normal for a school that stops at class 2? And if there's no board syllabus, how do parents there know what's being taught and whether their child is on track?

Ask them straight which syllabus they follow for class 1 and 2, and ask to see a workbook from each. Then you'll know, instead of guessing from the brochure.

Also ask which schools their children usually go to after class 2. That tells you what they're preparing them for.

my daughter's early years were in a small place like this. no board, small classes. she moved at 6 and the first term was all about sitting still and writing between lines. reading was fine. nobody warned us about the writing

no board at that age isn't unusual. plenty of early years setups follow their own framework, or something adapted from one. the useful question is what it's called and whether they'll show you a sample week. if the answer stays vague, that's an answer of its own

a sample week is a good ask. i'd assumed 'framework' was brochure language. will ask what theirs is called when it's our turn

When our elder one was small, her early years school followed its own approach rather than a named syllabus, and she was happy there. The one thing I would check is how they report progress. Without board terms, some places send only photos and a general note, and we found it hard to tell what she could really do. Ask to see a sample report.
