Rosary Convent in Abids is a family tradition on my partner's side. We live in Nallagandla

Mother-in-law has brought it up three times this month. Every aunt went there, apparently, so that is the school. Our daughter is at a daycare near home and I haven't even started thinking about nursery. I'd rather not dismiss it outright. But Nallagandla to Abids, every morning, with a small child. Is anyone doing a drive like that for nursery, and does it get easier as they get older? And for anyone with recent experience, what is nursery there like now?

Speaking as a grandparent: the elders are attached to the school they remember. Ask your mother-in-law to visit it with you now. A school changes a lot in thirty years. So does the traffic to Abids.

Good advice. My parents have a school picked out for our daughter too, near where they used to live. I haven't worked up the courage to suggest a visit yet.

Nallagandla to Abids in the morning is more than an hour some days. We did a Kukatpally run for the girls' tuition for one year and that was bad enough. For nursery, three hours of school and two hours in the car doesn't add up for me 🙂 Maybe tell your MIL you'll look at it again for class 1?

Does your partner want it, or is it only your mother-in-law? That changes the whole conversation.
