reading my book club novel aloud to the baby. she's riveted, and it's a murder mystery

ran out of board books, so i started reading her whatever i'm reading. she watches my face the whole time and kicks at the tense bits. we're on the chapter where they find the second body. she's five months old and hopefully won't remember the plot.

We did the same with my partner's law journals 🙂 At that age it's the voice they're listening to, apparently. Our boy's favourite word for a good while was 'adjourned'.

adjourned is a good one. i'm hoping hers isn't 'alibi'

Ha. Our older one got read cycling magazines as a baby, I'd also run out of books. Years later she won't get on a bike unless forced. So much for that theory
