Son is 1. Staff kids get a seat at my school apparently, pre-nursery from 2. We'd travel together, 35 mins each way. Near home there are 3 options walking distance. Can't decide if same campus is a perk or a mistake
my sister teaches at the school her son goes to. lovely in lkg, he loved waving at her in the corridor. by class 3 he wanted her nowhere near his classroom not saying dont, just that the perk changes over the years
What would the day look like hour by hour? If pre-nursery finishes around midday and you finish mid-afternoon, someone has to cover those hours on campus. Near home, the same gap might be covered by a grandparent or your daycare. I'd write out a normal Tuesday for both options before deciding.
a lot of staff at my school have their kids on campus. the commute part works well for most of them. what gets hard is the days you have meetings or assessment work after school and the little one is done at 12.30 and waiting for you
