Pick her up early on my lighter days, or keep the daycare hours the same every day?

My calls with the overseas team start early, so on some days I'm done by 3. On those days I'd like to collect our daughter at 3.30 instead of 6. My partner thinks we should keep the same pickup time every day, because she's still getting used to the routine and the daycare staff have said consistency helps with naps and settling. I see the point. I also see that I'd be sitting at home without her for two and a half hours so that a routine stays tidy. She doesn't seem bothered either way when I collect her, early or late. Is an irregular pickup confusing for a baby this age? Or is the fixed time more about our convenience than hers?
