our 1 month old grunts all night. i've started sleeping in the hall and my partner has opinions

he isn't crying, just grunting, squeaking and snorting from about 11 to 5, loud enough that nobody near him sleeps. the caregiver says all newborns do it i have production calls some evenings and a full day after, so last week i moved to the hall. partner is not impressed, and fair enough, since that leaves one of us in the room with him every night. how did you split nights at this stage without one person doing all of it

the grunting!! son did exactly this, like a small pig in the next cot. stopped somewhere around 3 months. we took turns, one night each in the hall, so at least the bad nights were shared 😂

  hall nights here too. partner does 10 to 2, i do 2 to 6. 5 months now and still doing it, just fewer wake ups

  turns sounds a lot fairer than what i'm doing. will offer that tonight. 3 months feels very far away
