Nursery wants a parent sitting in all of the first week. It's the week my own school reopens

Our daughter starts nursery this month. The school has asked for a parent to sit in the classroom through the first week, stepping out a bit sooner each day. I'm a primary teacher myself, at a different school, and those are exactly the first days of our own year, when no teacher gets leave. My partner's work is more flexible in general, but not that particular week. For parents who have been through this: does it matter much to the child which adult sits in? Or is it simply about having someone familiar there?

Her grandmother did ours, years ago. The teacher didn't mind who it was, only that it was the SAME person every day that week, because a new face each day undoes the whole thing. That was one school, but it made sense to me.

The same person each day is the useful detail. My mother can do the whole week if I drop her on my way and a cab brings her back. I'll confirm with the school that a grandparent is fine.
