Nursery to class 12 in one building. Do families at Lead Grammar in Tolichowki stay the whole way?

Our practice may take an office near Tolichowki next year, and if it does we'd likely rent nearby. Our son is under one, so this is early, but for us the area decision and the school decision are tangled together. Lead Grammar High School runs CBSE from nursery to 12. The appeal is obvious: one admission, one route, no switch at class 6 or 11. From outside, I can't tell how that works in practice. Do children who start there in nursery tend to stay through, or do most families move at some point anyway? And for the small ones, what does an ordinary morning look like on that side of Tolichowki?

don't know this school. but in our circle almost everyone moved after 10 regardless of how good the 11-12 was, for coaching or a junior college. so i'd weigh the first 5-6 years, not the 'till 12' part

Partly true here too, but not everyone moves after 10. A few families I know stayed CBSE for 11-12 just to avoid a board switch, mostly the ones not chasing coaching. The ordinary-morning question is the one I'd go and check yourself. Drive past at 8 on a weekday. The main road here at school time is its own experience 😄

      Replying to @ochre_chai_9692

'Everyone moves after 10' covers two different things. Either the school's 11-12 isn't what families want, or families want a coaching-linked college whatever the school does. Ask the school how many of its own class 10 stay on. That number will tell you more than either of us can.

Also in Bowenpally, also with a toddler. If the office move isn't confirmed, I'd wait. Picking a school two years ahead for a house you haven't rented yet is a lot of planning on one maybe.

I'd gently disagree. With unpredictable work, knowing a shortlist early has helped me more than anything. What works for me is choosing the area first and making sure there are two or three schools within a short drive, so no single admission decides where you live. Then the maybe can stay a maybe without the panic.
