Nursery at St. Peter's in Dulapally, if we end up renting on the Kompally side next year

teal_lantern_1022

We might move to the Kompally side next year, nothing fixed yet, so we're looking at nurseries at both ends of the city for our son. He'll be three and a bit by then. St. Peter's High School in Dulapally is CBSE and goes from nursery to class 10, which is what we'd like, so he wouldn't need another change at class 1. What I don't know: when nursery enquiries usually start there, whether there's an interaction with the child, and roughly how long the nursery day is. If you've visited or have a little one in the early classes, I'd be glad to hear how the small ones settle in.

I work in school admin, though not at this one: Nursery enquiries at most schools quietly start before the official dates, so a phone call in October or November does no harm. Ask whether the 'interaction' is with the child or with you. At ours it was mostly the parents. And ask to see the nursery room, not only the reception ❤️

We're in KPHB, so not too far, but my son is much older and I don't know their nursery. One thing from our own nursery hunting: go on a weekday around dismissal, not to a Saturday open house. You see the real drop-off and pickup. Thoda chaos is normal, but you'll know if it's too much for a three year old.

if you're keeping both ends of the city open, check how early the van leaves for the nursery kids. some schools pick the little ones up at 7 because the route is long. for a 3 year old that changes everything

This was the deciding point for us. Our daughter's nursery van came at 7.10 and she was half asleep through the first period most days. We ended up dropping her ourselves. Worth asking whether parents can do drop-off for nursery and switch to the van later.
