class 2. a new classmate joined after the summer and wears a hearing aid. my daughter has asked about it twice, loudly, in front of her, once at a birthday party. nothing mean, just curious. the other mother was polite but i could see it was not the first time today how do i explain it to a 7 year old so she gets that it's normal and not a topic to raise every time
My son had a classmate with a hearing aid in class 2 as well. What helped was the classmate himself showing the class how it works, which the teacher organised with his family. After that it stopped being interesting. You could gently ask the teacher if something like that is planned, rather than doing it yourself. At home we just compared it with glasses. That landed.
picture books where the main character wears one helped us. mine went through the same phase with a classmate's eye patch. once it was in a story it was just a thing
