Daycare says my 2 year old is 'in his own world'. What did they actually see?
Pickup yesterday, the teacher mentioned in passing that my son is 'in his own world sometimes' and 'maybe get him checked'. Then another parent walked in and that was the end of the conversation. I'm not dismissing it. But I need specifics before I book anything. What was he doing, when, how often, compared to what. At home he answers to his name, points, brings me things. In a room of fifteen toddlers I have no idea. Has anyone got a daycare to write down observations properly? What did you ask for?
