School is doing a fruit-sharing day before the Dasara break and each parent got assigned one fruit for the whole class. We got bananas. 40 of them. We're in Kompally. The supermarket near us sells them by the half dozen and I'm not buying seven packets. Ideas?
If you come to Kothapet side, the wholesale fruit market opens before 6 in the morning. One full bunch will be more than 40, cheap rate also. But from Kompally it is a long way to come only for bananas.
Ha, that's a long drive at the best of times, for bananas. Appreciate it though. Anything closer to the north side?

Just ask your regular fruit cart anna the day before. They pick up from the wholesale market every morning anyway, tell him 40 and he'll keep it aside for you. Did this for my elder one's class, no drama at all 🙂

Did exactly that last evening. Monday 7am, 40 bananas, and he offered to tie them up in two bags. Done.
