my parents won't let her near the slide on their days. now she won't go on it with me either

she's 3. two days a week with my parents, and at the park it's 'careful, you'll fall, come down' the whole time. she used to climb everything. last weekend she stood at the bottom of the slide and said 'ammamma says no'. i get that they're scared of something happening on their watch. how do i bring this up without it sounding like i'm calling them careless, or the opposite

I can speak for the grandparents here. When it is someone else's child in our care, every fall feels like our failure, so we hold on tighter than we did with our own. You might take your parents along once and let them watch her climb with you, so they see what she can manage. Being shown is easier for us to accept than being told.
