My nephew calls our flat 'the quiet house'. Should we be doing more with him on Saturdays?

My sister's son, 8, has spent Saturdays with us since her shifts changed. We have no toys, no cable TV. He reads, helps my partner with the plants, and we cycle round the lake in the evening. He seems content. Last week he told a friend he spends Saturdays at 'the quiet house'. Was that a complaint? Should we be planning more?

I see children from busy homes every day at school. A quiet house with adults who have time for him doesn't sound like a complaint to me. If he wanted more, he would ask. I'd leave it as it is.
